Hire Costs:

How much does a full bar service and all equipment cost to hire?

Our most asked question and this will depend on what you're looking for?

We usually go far beyond running the actual bar. We're always happy to advise on any aspect of your wedding or event day and always have a full run through in advance. This always highlights points in advance and ensures the smoother running of your day. After running hundreds of mobile bars, you benefit from our experience. Whilst we don't call ourselves event or wedding planners, it's a role that we often unofficially undertake and better still it's free!

The options are either
1. A fully stocked and run bar (with many options) and we take care of everything.
2. Hire the equipment with staff and you stock all of the drinks, known as dry hire.
The most common option is 1, however the choice is yours.

As a guide we offer the following:

1. Full supplied, stocked and managed Bar:

Our bar hire as standard comes with all equipment and staff will be probably about the only aspect that's free for your wedding or event!
There is no charge for us to bring our bars when we’re serving and you could even get paid! All that we require is a £100 deposit to secure the date and a minimum bar spend of £1500. This is easily achievable as long as there are usually a minimum of 75 guests. We can attend with fewer guests as long as the balance up to £1500 is paid. Drinks can be given out to this value too. That's it.

Even better is if the actual spend over the bar (excludes any drinks packages) exceeds £2500, then we'll give you 10% back over this amount. Bar spend £5000 then we'll give you £250 as a thank you for booking us (and for having thirsty guests!).
We offer a variety of very competitive drinks packages suited to weddings & events. These includes all glassware, serving & collection.

2. Dry Hire:

We will bring bars (2 x 1.5 metre bars), double fridge (commercial glass fronted bottle cooler), ice bucket, tongs, scoop, under bar lighting, back bar, optics (x6), optics stand & bottle openers. From £500 plus travel & staff.

Glassware can be either plastic (wine, flute, pint, half pint, spirit mixer, shot & Jager Bomb) or glass glassware of any combination that is hired in locally (clean & returned used).
Other items are available, such as Jager machine, draught beer equipment, hand pull, kegs, casks etc. Please ask for a price.

Experienced staff are essential and paid by the hour for the duration of the event. They can run a bar, serve reception drinks, table drinks and toast if required too. If you require a bar manager with a personal licence then this is possible too. A licence will only be required if drinks are to be sold behind the bar. If they are free, then no licence is required. It is straightforward and we can advise and help with all aspects of licensing.

Please ask us for an exact price. This will depend on exactly what you want and the number of guests attending.

Choice of Packages for either option if required (optional):

Wedding Drinks Packages are available and can include:
A choice of Reception Drinks, Table Drinks & Toast Drinks.

We will also collect all bottles, used glassware from the table after the toast and meal.
In addition to our mobile bars, we also bring all equipment including, fridges, bars, back bar, ice, fruit, staff, Jaeger machine etc

Bar Options:
'Free Bar’, Money behind the bar, First drink included, Bar free for a set period or simply a guest paying bar – The choice is yours.

Our drinks prices are more in line with local pub prices (if not cheaper) and we always have offers on drinks which are popular. You can choose to have an inclusive drinks package for your guests or just a pay per drink from the bar in the same way as a pub. Example drinks prices below:

Ales, medium wines, branded spirits & mixer - From £4.00
Bottles of lager - 4f or £10
Jaeger Bombs - 4 for £10
Soft Drinks - £1.00

Licencing

If a venue has a premises licence then usually no additional licence is required.
If it doesn't then a Temporary Event Notice is required. This is a straightforward process from your local council. We can advise or sort this for you. Currently the fee payable to the council is just £21 and must be applied for at least 10 working days in advance (5 is possible but not advisable). It is straightforward but essential to comply with current laws and something we can help with. This includes not only the sale of alcohol but also entertainment such as a band playing music and is an essential requirement.
